Writers In Residences is a Lancaster-based author series that began in September 2020. The 6th season ended March 15, 2026.
Writers In Residences is presented by the Jewish Community Alliance of Lancaster and sponsored by The Family of Beth Pomerantz.
All of the authors in the series come to us through the Jewish Book Council Authors on Tour program.
During all programs the authors speak to us in real time via Zoom, with time for Q&A from the viewers. Each thoughtfully chosen author is paired with a carefully chosen moderator who has read the book in advance to engage with the author in discussion about their book.
The programs are free; however, registration is required to attend. Participants from all backgrounds are welcome to attend. Writers In Residences is committed to creating a shared space for listening and learning.
Thank you to the authors and moderators who participated this past year and to the audience, with the hope they found the programs interesting and thought-provoking. The 2026-2027 series - the 7 th - will begin in the fall and the schedule of programs will be announced in late summer. We hope you’ll join us next year.
